Chapter role
Krishna unfolds His vibhūtis — the "heavenly perfections," the points at which the One shines most visibly through the many. Every natural excellence and inward virtue ("Intellect, skill, enlightenment, endurance, self-control, / Truthfulness… and wish to give, and will to help,—all cometh of My gift!") springs from Him; He is "the Spirit seated deep in every creature's heart"; and He is the foremost of each class — the sun, the moon among the stars, OM among utterances, the Self (Vāsudeva) among the Pāṇḍavas. To the devotee who loves Him ceaselessly He gives "a mind of perfect mood" and lights "wisdom's lamp" within, dispelling ignorance.

Step 4 — Clusters
| Cluster | Atomic statements | Intent |
|---|---|---|
| The One as source of all excellence | C1, C3 | Every virtue and every "best" points back to the Lord |
| The indwelling Spirit | C2 | He is seated in every heart |
| Devotion lit by grace | C4, C5 | Knowing/loving Him, He gives inner wisdom |
Step 5 — Internal tensions
None genuine.
Step 6 — Synthesized chapter principles
G10-P1: Every excellence and faculty points back to the One
Intelligence, virtue, and the foremost of each kind (sun, mind, OM, the Self) are all glories (vibhūti) of the single source — the One shining through the many.
- Tier:
FOUNDATIONAL· Domain: ATMAN-BRAHMAN · Covers: C1, C3 · Evidence: Gītā 10 · Untranslatable: brahman
G10-P2: The Lord is seated in the heart of every creature
The same Spirit dwells deep in all beings, the inner source of their coming, living, and departing.
- Tier:
FOUNDATIONAL· Domain: ATMAN-BRAHMAN · Covers: C2 · Evidence: Gītā 10 · Untranslatable: ātman
G10-P3: Loving devotion draws down the inner lamp of wisdom
Those who know the Lord as the source and love Him ceaselessly receive "a mind of perfect mood"; He dwells within them and dispels their ignorance — grace meets effort.
- Tier:
OPERATIONAL· Domain: DEVOTION+KNOWLEDGE · Covers: C4, C5 · Evidence: Gītā 10 · Untranslatable: bhakti, jñāna
Step 7 — Traceability
| Principle | Atomic statements | Citation |
|---|---|---|
| G10-P1 | C1, C3 | Gītā 10 |
| G10-P2 | C2 | Gītā 10 |
| G10-P3 | C4, C5 | Gītā 10 |
Step 8 — Quality
- Coverage: high (the long catalogue of vibhūtis is captured under C3 as a single "best-of-each-kind" claim). Orphaned: <10%. Principles: 3. Traceability: 100%.
Step 9 — Validation
- Claim-vs-warrant: G10-P2 (an indwelling divine Spirit in every heart) converges in claim with "the kingdom of God within," the divine spark/scintilla animae, and theistic immanence broadly — but the warrant is the ātman-brahman identity (the indweller is, at depth, one's own true Self), which diverges from a Creator distinct from the soul. G10-P1 (all excellence derives from the One) converges with classical theism's "every good gift is from above." G10-P3 (grace illumining the devotee) is a bhakti parallel to grace-theologies, warranted within the rebirth frame.
